Run, do not walk to the nearest used book emporium in your neighborhood. If you do not have a copy of Barbara Brackman's Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns - it is now out of print! Barbara Brackman says so. Both the book format

I use one or the other of these resources constantly - I use Blockbase to find blocks to use as a starting point for inspiration for a Shop Hop Block, I have the Encyclopedia in my office so I can look more knowledgeable when someone brings in an old quilt that belonged to their great great grandmother and wants to know what the block pattern is.  If you don't have one of these, I recommend you get started looking for them....there just is not anything that is half as useful to find out about quilt blocks!
