Old Mill Days...
This weekend is Old Mill Days weekend at Port Gamble and as we have enjoyed the sights and sounds of the festival. Out our windows we could see the carnival,which as you can see the younger members of the family enjoyed.
The festival also included a car show and a logging show - fun for the whole family. We do not, by the way, ever take pictures out our windows. The glass in the windows is original and has that wonderful texture and depth that is typical of old glass, but is horrible for the camera lens. I was fascinated to read about the process of making glass (see link above), and am intrigued each day by the play of shadow and light through our windows as the seasons and the positions of the sun changes.
